Our Story

Our journey began in 2009, during a time when internet access was still emerging in many parts of the world—particularly across African and Asian regions. Back then, only a small percentage of individuals and organizations had access to the internet or owned digital assets such as websites. The majority of online advertisements seen while browsing in countries like Nigeria, Botswana, and South Africa were largely irrelevant—promoting foreign products and services that held little to no value for the local population.

These advertisements failed to connect with local audiences, offering little benefit to the people, businesses, or broader communities. For international advertisers and publishers, this approach often resulted in a misallocation of resources, as the ads failed to resonate with the end users.

At the time, local products and services faced significant hurdles in utilizing the internet to grow their businesses. Challenges such as limited infrastructure, high costs, and lack of digital literacy left many local enterprises at a disadvantage.

In 2011, Admedien emerged as one of the pioneering digital advertising platforms dedicated to bridging this gap. We offered a targeted solution for advertising relevant goods and services within African markets—particularly in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Senegal, and Tanzania—via web and mobile platforms. Founded in London, United Kingdom, the brand “Admedien” operated as a division of another corporate entity until 2021, when it was formally incorporated as an independent company.

Admedien’s advertising network is designed to be accessible, scalable, and affordable—empowering advertisers and media publishers of all sizes. From the outset, our network rapidly grew to include clients and partners across Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

Our growth journey has experienced both milestones and challenges. Yet, our advertising footprint continues to expand globally.
